In the lead-up to the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, I had a vision.
Not for a campaign. Not for a collaboration. But for a moment. A gesture.
I wanted to create something just for the incredible women who had earned their place on the Olympic stage. Something personal, wearable, and quietly powerful.
So, I designed it. A custom pair of earrings in Australia’s iconic green and gold, with a single pearl to add a touch of understated elegance. Each detail was intentional:

Green and gold ~ for the flag they wear so proudly.

A pearl, symbolising wisdom, integrity, and strength ~ values I see in every female athlete.

A minimal, timeless design ~ true to the EVER aesthetic.

And of course, sweat-resistant and waterproof ~ because these women train, move, and live with purpose.
We gifted over 170 pairs to female Australian Olympians across a range of sports. It wasn’t a campaign. It wasn’t something we shouted about. It was simply a gift, from one Australian woman to another. From EVER, to them.
And what I hoped for most of all? That when they opened that little green and gold box, they felt seen. Not just for their achievements, but for everything it took to get there.
Why It Mattered
For me, this wasn’t just about creating jewellery, it was about honouring the journey.
The early mornings. The setbacks. The triumphs. The pressure of competing. The quiet resilience.
As a woman who grew up playing sport, and who now builds jewellery for women who live active, powerful lives, I know that these moments are bigger than medals. They represent years of sacrifice, courage, and commitment.
And to be able to acknowledge that in a small, tangible way meant everything.
A Moment That Grew
What started as a simple idea quickly became something bigger than I expected.
Many of the athletes shared photos receiving the gift in the mail, delivered to their door or their camp where they were training pre-Game. They were wearing their earrings on the way to Paris, in training, on the fields, within the village and at events. Others messaged privately to say thank you, and to let me know how much it meant to receive something so personal.
It wasn’t about tagging the brand. It wasn’t about exposure. It was about the connection.
And to me, that’s the power of design when it’s rooted in meaning.
